It’s #TruthTuesday again and this week we are proud to announce the launch of our Truth About Youth Editorial Panel.
We recently teamed up with the Daily Record and Sunday Mail to give eight young people, from a variety of locations across Scotland, a chance to create content for the papers and have their voice heard on the issues that affect young people today. This exciting opportunity will see the young people be given the chance to showcase the truth about youth in Scotland and shine a light on the amazing contributions being made by young people across the nation. The first piece by the group went out in the Daily Record on 4th October. You can check out the online version here – TAY Editorial Panel (Daily Record 4 Oct 13)
Our eight Truth About Youth Editorial Panellists, ranging in age from 16 – 24, each bring different backgrounds and experiences to the group and over time will each have the opportunity to discuss their view on the way young people are perceived in the media and in communities across the country.
As well as working with the media to create engaging content, our Panellists will be producing content for The Patter which will expand upon issues discussed in the papers, introduce new themes and also chart their journey throughout the Panel process.
First up we have blogs from each of the Panellists in which they introduce themselves and highlight what made them want to get involved in the Truth About Youth project in this way. To find our more about each of our Panellists, click the links below.
Two more blogs coming soon…
