Truth About Youth recently teamed up with successful Grants Fund applicants, Argyll and Bute Youth Forum to help them spread the word of all the fantastic work done by the young people in the area by helping them produce the finalists videos for the first ever Argyll and Bute Awards 2013. The awards were held at the Phoenix Cinema in Oban and was a huge success in showing all the contributions young people in Argyll and Bute are making. A massive well done and congratulations to all the finalist and winners on the night.

For 16 year old Sarah, dedication to helping others is second to none. Sarah is a keen member of Mid-Argyll Youth Forum and has been involved in all their community projects, giving up her time to fundraise both for the group and worthy charities. She is first to be on hand for any consultations and meetings where there’s an opportunity to put forward the views of young people. Sarah also volunteers at her local youth group a couple of nights a week, in the nursery learning centre in the school and peer supports pupils in the Princes’ Trust XL groups. A bubbly character, Sarah really is making a difference to other young people in Mid-Argyll.
