Truth About Youth recently teamed up with successful Grants Fund applicants, Argyll and Bute Youth Forum to help them spread the word of all the fantastic work done by the young people in the area by helping them produce the finalists videos for the first ever Argyll and Bute Awards 2013. The awards were held at the Phoenix Cinema in Oban and was a huge success in showing all the contributions young people in Argyll and Bute are making. A massive well done and congratulations to all the finalist and winners on the night.
Passionate about music, John Anthony is an exceptionally talented classically trained singer who performs extensively in school, the local community and beyond. Part of the Scottish Opera Connect Programme , he had the opportunity to train with professionals before putting on their own operatic production. He was then offered a lead role in a professional tour with Scottish Opera. He has also secured other professional work, but has still found the time to do performances at fund raising events and local community events and groups. A member of the National Youth Choir for Scotland, John Anthony has performed at the Scottish Proms and The Proms in the Royal Albert Hall, London. He hopes to continue by studying Opera at either Royal Conservatoire Scotland in Glasgow or The Julliard School in New York.
