As part of our project during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013, we spoke to The Durham Revue to see how other artists, critics, venues and the public receive their performance.
By talking to these young comedians and finding out their views on the issue, we aimed to explore how age affects perceptions and preconceptions of young people and their actions.
The purpose is to give confidence to young artists and to influence people to give young people a chance, and to not make assumptions based on their age. Making preconceptions of young people will cause people to lose out on original, unique and fresh ideas. Young people are a breath of fresh air, are talented and are the next generation of great artists.
