Truth About Youth caught up with the Wired Radio Group from the Scottish Borders. The Wired group have been involved with Truth About Youth Scotland since May. Their engagement work as part of the project has centred around their broadcasts on Bauer Radio’s Radio Borders, including live community events, and also a series of intergenerational coffee mornings which they are using to engage with older people in their community to find out their opinions and perceptions of Scotland’s young people and also to provide the young people with the opportunity to challenge and change negative perceptions through positive engagement.

We asked the Wired team to tell us how the experience of being involved in positively challenging negative perceptions has impacted them and how their work has been making a difference across the Scottish Borders.

Do you live in the Scottish Borders? What is your perception of young people in your area? Are you involved in positive activities that promote young people in a more positive light? If so, we would love to hear from you.
